Journalism and Me

As a kid I was obsessed with sport of all kinds. Whether it was football, motorsport, tennis or anything remotely related to the sporting universe in any way, I couldn’t get enough.

It was more than just the action on the pitch or on the race track though that enthused me though. It was the excitement that transcended through the words of commentators and reporters on the TV. It was the stories that unfolded, the drama that the legendary Murray Walker would describe to me as my Formula One heroes battled on track. The moments when John Motson shared my elation as England scored a decisive winning goal in the World Cup. Moments like this were what first ignited my ambition to one day cover the stories that people will remember forever.

Peter Windsor is a world renowned Formula One journalist and Author. His career in motorsport has spanned five decades with experience in team management amongst other things making his one of the more authoritative voices in a press room.

I take a huge amount of inspiration from his work which continues to engross me on a weekly basis. His limitless knowledge and the connections he has with incredible people from both the past and present makes his content unmissable.

The work of Peter and others has driven me to begin writing my own blog and I have a strong ambition to build it into a career I can both enjoy and be proud of.
